Oxyderm Wrinkle Cream by INDERMICA is an

Skin Care

The PFC in the formulation of Oxyderm is an ideal ingredient for anti-wrinkle products as
it has an instantaneous dermal filling and muscular relaxation effect. It also has long—term
effects due to its capacity to supply Oxygen to the skin. PFC in the Oxyderm
formulation has such molecular weight that its penetration is optimized for anti-wrinkle
products.


Oxyderm Wrinkle Cream is based on a blend of medical grade perfluorocarbons (PFC),
which are not drugs, as they only act as gas carriers. The performance of Oxyderm
Wrinkle Cream is based on four mechanisms permitting strong and fast visible results,
and more importantly, long term improvement of age lines.

First mechanism:

Very fast penetration of the dermis and long half-life with different molecular weights. An
old trick in cosmetic formulations is to use esters or oils, which penetrate quickly and
instantaneously reduce the wrinkles. As they have small molecular weights, they increase
the lipid content of the skin, increasing the volume of the dermis. This effect does not last
long, as esters penetrate quickly to the deeper skin levels, retransforming the dermis
volume back to normal. Oxyderm Wrinkle Cream is developed based on a combination of
PFCs with variable molecular weights and half-lives, to maximize the acting time in the
dermis. Low molecular weight PFCs penetrate quickly allowing immediate visible results.
High molecular weight PFCs penetrate slower maintaining the initial results and further
treating the dermis. The half-life of a Oxyderm Wrinkle Cream is eleven days, which is the
time how long the results can last after stopping the application.

Second mechanism:

Instant skin volume increase based on volume structure of PFCs and their omniphobic
properties. PFCs are not water-soluble nor oil soluble materials, hence called
omniphobic. The inclusion of them in the intercellular cement, which is constituted from
water, phospholipids and lipids as lamellar flat 2D liquid crystals, creates volume by 3D
hexagonal micelle structure. This phenomena is comparable to ice versus water; ice is
structured, volumised water. Based on skin surface studies, Oxyderm Wrinkle Cream
increases the volume of dermis by 10 -15%, reducing the appearance of fine lines.

Third mechanism:

Oxyderm Wrinkle Cream promotes a strong muscular relaxation. Deep wrinkles in the
facial area are due to muscular effect, as the muscles get tense and shorten due to small
electrical impulses. This can be reduced with insulating the muscles from electrical forces
by dielectrics. The PFCs in Oxyderm Wrinkle Cream, act as dielectrics, and when used as
a topical application, it will allow the glabellar muscles to relax and let them to find the
natural position. This will immediately improve the skin appearance and reduce the
wrinkles, which can be easily demonstrated by half-face tests.

Fourth mechanism:

Cell cleaning from Carbon Dioxide refreshing the cellular metabolism. Skin‘s uptake of
Oxygen starts to decline at age of 20 and is reduced by 50 % by age of 50.
